Overview
Our course offers a rare hands-on opportunity to learn the importance of protecting a company's intellectual property (IP), such as developing and managing IP portfolios, drafting patent applications, identifying and protecting trademarks and copyrights, and other similar topics.
For example, SVPTC and PPT provide the basic foundation needed to draft patent applications and teaches topics from pre-disclosure documentation, specification and claim drafting, suggested figures, to filing the patent application with the Patent and Trademark Office. The course is designed to provide a working knowledge of the patent application process. Patent application processes will be explained in detail, with the aid of computerized and projected digital presentation slides, 100+ pages of bound handout materials, exercises, and patent filing forms.
Courses are facilitative and hands-on where attendees will leave having drafted parts of a patent application facilitated by patent attorneys or agents with University and Law School teaching experience as well as having more than 30 years combined patent experience. Attendance is always limited to allow for more personal attention and interaction.
